Sweet Grass Grill

Awesome spot. My whole family went to another spot for coffee and breakfast and I thought the staff was rude and clearly they didn't like toddlers so I grabbed my little guy and walked till we found this amazing spot. The bartender was absolutely the best. The staff so friendly and the food was the fantastic. I called my group and some left to come here and where so grateful the few who didn't leave the other place walked in here and instantly became jealous.

Delicious healthy food .. looking at it from the outside underestimates your experience. I lived in this town for a while and not once I thought about eating there, but once I did, it changed the entire perspective. This is one of the most delicious breakfasts available in Westchester.

Great food for the vegan and gluten free people in your life plus yummy food for those of us who are neither. Cute restaurant. Make a reservation if there are more than 4 people in your party. Nice wait staff too.

Good bloody mary, fluffy pancake, mushy veggie burger, decent vegetable hash, good coffee.

Excellent restaurant with great food. Excellent variety of vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes without being fussy. The vegan chocolate mousse was super decadent and I almost didn't believe it was vegan. Staff was super friendly and the decor was cute and understated.

Excellent little place to have a meal. Bartender was friendly and talkative. Burger was legitimately 10/10. Cannot recommend more!

Friendly service and nice ambiance welcome patrons when entering from the lively Main Street of Tarrytown. The hostess and owner, in particular, were cordial, pleasant, and attentive to the experience of each guest. The space is limited, but tables easily are arranged to accommodate larger groups.The food is fresh and well-prepared. The wait from order to plating is average, though portion sizes definitely are a bit hefty. At least you can order some good food and leave with leftovers, knowing you will get to have a tasty meal again! Definitely check out this spot!

Cozy, delicious, fair priced, and friendly staff. Parking is a bit of a chore, but municipal parking is available.

This restaurant is supposed to serve as a healthy option, which it is. They have natural plant based food such as gluten free and vegan options (including dessert like vegan and gluten free cookies and brownies!). I included a photo of their quinoa salad with spinach and almonds. I added a piece of fried chicken on top (I'm not too certain that grilled chicken was available that day). My all time favorite is their root fries with beet ketchup! It's a MUST have!! Inside there's tables for dining, or your welcome to order your food to go. This place is located near to the train station, which makes it easy and convenient to find. Better yet, it makes it easier to say no to fast food, as McDonald's is a few doors down in the same plaza.

Very cute farm to table place with nice servers and good food! Lots of great vegan options including dessert! And the menu is clearly labeled and staff very knowledgable.

My wife are taking the weekend off and we stopped for lunch in Tarrytown. There were many good looking choices but we decided to try the Sweet Grass Grill. It was an excellent choice. Kim, our server, was fantastic! She began by bringing us complimentary carrot muffins which were delicious. I ordered the Veggie Breakfast Bowl which had grits with spinach and mushrooms. Over the grits were sunny side up eggs. My wife had the seasonal veggie omelette. Both meals were fantastic. This was a great find and I highly recommend it!

A great place to go for lunch or dinner. Many vegan, vegetarian choices.

Very good all around. The apple turnip soup was top notch and a great special to change things up from the more common butternut squash soups in rotation this time of the year. Their own brioche buns are delightful. Very soft and hold together well. Very nice network of local farms and all at a great value.

Great food. Exceptional service. Extremely knowledgeable server, checked into gluten free options for my daughter. Will certainly go back.

This spot is worth visiting. They serve big portions for reasonable rates. Always well organized and with great ambience. I highly recommend this place.

Friendly welcome. Great place to have brunch. Cozy from the farm to table type bistro. Complimentary mini carrot cake is off the hook. We wished we could buy some mini carrot cake home. Definitely coming back.

Fabulous service at the bar with great food and good vegetarian/vegan options!

Great brunch, we liked the pancakes and the grits and chorizo bowl. The service was poor, the waiter did not come around much, a long wait to order, got multiple parts of our orders wrong, and he was kind of surly.

Grilled chicken club is to die for. I ate it all, and my sweet potato fries. Heaven with avocado and paprika aioli.

The food is excellent!! The Prince Edward Island Mussels I ordered where the BEST I've ever had with a shallot saffron sauce, I will come back just for those! Service was thoughtful and much appreciated. Would definitely recommend!

The menu and service were ahead of our expectations. I really liked the ambience of this place. Excellent restaurant to take the family out for lunch.

This place is one of the best restaurants that I have ever been to. On top of being delicious, the menu is friendly for all dietary needs (V, GF, etc.). If you like really good food, put this place on your list. There are very few places that I go where I feel compelled to return. I will definitely come back to Sweet Grass the next time I am in Tarrytown.

Great service, we might have been served by the owner, very friendly. The food (veggie omelette) was really good as well (melted cheese and pumpkin). The place is busy around noon which was expected. Seems like people usually reserve tables.

They were busy on a Saturday night but we got 2 seats at the bar. Brian the bartender is great. I had a martini (excellent) and the cheeseburger with fried egg and it was the best burger I've had in a very long time. My wife had a butternut squash dish which she enjoyed very much. Very tasty key lime tart for dessert. The restaurant is vegan and vegetarian friendly. Even though we were just passing through, we left feeling like regulars. Would definitely come back.

Super friendly and nice staff. The food tasted good and the options are very filing.Also the produce are fresh and mostly local. Many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options are available!

We always go here for brunch when we visit around Halloween. The menu isn't huge BUT the food is so fresh and so so good. They even gave us complimentary apple muffins before we ate and they were SO good. Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because the service could be a little better although its not terrible...and the biggest thing is that the beers cost anywhere from $7 - $9 so they should always be filled to the top and they weren't...they were a couple inches from the top which in my opinion isn't acceptable when spending that much for a beer. Otherwise...the place is great and I would highly recommend it!

I have no real issue with Sweet Grass. I went for brunch with my girlfriend and her parents. We found the food to be just fine, and the service to be a little on the inattentive side. The ambiance of the dining area itself left a little to be desired.

Second time here love the place. Food is amazing especially that carrot soup they have with butternut squash. Highly recommend them for their vegan menu or their regular menu is also great. Great job guys keep it up!!!!!

You got to try the vegan Cauliflower buffalo wings and Vegan Philly Cheese steaks! So cheesy and so delicious. My friend skipped lunch so she can enjoy the dinner there. Did not disappoint. The waitress was also so helpful and nice. Will definitely go back again with friends and family. 👍

Fantastic service, excellent food and served hot. The elote was phenomenal along with the smoked harissa sauce served with the polenta fries. Mrs Beachpig loved the GRK chocolate brownie.

Great brunch place. It's a very busy place and reservations are recommended. Delicious menu. Plenty of vegetarian options. Very sweet staff. The manager accommodated my infant daughter with us and took care of the stroller too.

Good burger and great service. Coffee is French Press, which I like and the dessert was ok. A little heavy for a tart in my opinion but enjoyable nonetheless. I'll definitely be stopping here again if I'm in the area. One note - may not be pricey for the area but it was a little expensive compared to where I live and expect to spend on lunch for 1.
